House Yatsenko
At'elo was the founder of the family. He was a fortunate Neko to escape his home planet without being captured and sold as a slave. He stowed away on a cargo ship bound for a planet near the edges of UCE space. He heard that if you wanted to hide from the slavers that were after him, that was the place to be. What better place than right in the heart of the shady underworld of the galaxy. When the ship landed he tried to sneak off but was found out. He was then beaten and thrown to the side. He laid there for a few hours before a human female looked down at him as she was escorted to her shuttle. She stopped and eyed him with interest. With a wave of her hand he was taken aboard her ship. He was treated for his injuries and was nursed back to full health. When he was back to full health the lady introduced herself as Setia Yatsenko. She ran a "Business" of sorts. She said that it was a merchant setup. At'elo liked hearing this as thats what he wanted to do in the first place. She introduced him to the other "associates" and then asked if he would like to work for her. She said she neaded a figure head and what better than a Neko with a slight charm. He wasnt exactly sure by what she was implying but he agreed to it. He adapted to his new life well. He was such a fast learner that soon he was left in charge of all the shipping lines. Setia seemed to be distracted with other things but he never took too much notice. He was doing what he wanted to do. He even went on a few of the runs himself. After a year he and Setia seemed to be establishing a relationship. After a few months he stumbled across something on one of his weekly runs with the shipping shuttles. He ran across some contraband of slaves and assorted drugs in one of the extra holds. After this he started to pay more attention. He started to learn what House Yatsenko was, it was a syndicate of sorts. He learned all that he could within a few months..he started to change. He continued on his business as usual but started a plan. He started befriending all of the employees. After he had a majority of them in his pocket he worked on Setia. Over a few months they started to build a personal relationship. Soon he was wed to her. He was happy, but for another reason. He had a mistress that he found on one of the shipping runs he frequented. And one night when he layed with his mistress, Setia walked in on him. He acted quickly and grabbed her by her throat as she was still in shock. He stared at her the life draining from her eyes as she finally breathed her last breath. He immediatly called one of "his" men in to dispose of her body. After awhile of not seeing there lady of the house Setia's loyal men decided to confront At'elo. He was waiting for them with an ambush. A skirmish errupted that spread through the house quickly. In the end At'elos forces won. He took the business over and also took the name Yatsenko as his own. He then married his mistress, Ruyi. Together they ran the business of House Yatsenko. With At'elo running the business and Ruyi taking care of the politics, House Yatsenko flourished.
The children of Yatsenko.
News of Ruyi's pregnancy spread through the house like wildfire. Soon everyone was excited about the birth of the baby. At'elo was planning his childs future based on it being a boy. Soon afterwards the child was born. A baby girl. At'elo was astounded, but loved the child none the less. Aluara was brought up with the best availiable. She had the best education and picked up the behavior of a noble quickly and well. Her parents were proud of her. At the age of five she was the perfect daughter. Well behaved and always the focus of the guests. Soon after though Ruyi brought another child into the house, another girl. She was named Yi'la. She was soon the center of attention. Aluara didnt pay much mind to it. She rather liked not being bothered by all the constant talking and gazing. Soon though she started to feel ignored. Yi'la seemed to have this talent for dancing. It came to her natrually. Aluara didnt have any special talent. Nothing came to her natually. She had to learn everything she knew. Her mother tried to teach her dancing but to no avail. She was always out of sync or not fast enough, nothing seemed to be right to her mother. One of the men said she danced very well and not to let her mothers words get her down. After two years Ruyi gave birth to twins, also female. They were named Venra and Sha'li. Aluara figured that Yi'la would lose attention afterwards but she was wrong. Yi'la kept attention but it was between Yi'la, Venra and Sha'li. Soon her other sisters developed unique talents. Venra developed a knack to craft and refine things. Sha'li when she got older shined in politics. Soon Aluara seemed non existant. Only the guards and men around the house paid any attention to her. The head of the "muscle" always took her to the range with the other men and let her shoot. Of course none of them said anything to her parents but its not like it mattered. The men felt sorry for her. She was a minor setback to her parents after awhile. Aluara grew to the age of fifteen longing for her parents love. Nothing she could do would make them proud. She was living in her sisters shadows. Her sisters didnt make her life easy either. They acted like she was dirt to them and she felt like it. Since Aluara had no one but the men to keep her company she started to observe the workings of the house. Soon she started to learn what her family did. But she did not let that change her. She was still the quite one. The men noticed she was being nosey at times but since her parents didnt pay any attention to her they said nothing. She soon learned exactly how the business ran......
Rivian's Entertainment
Aluara grew up to be a beautiful neko. But of course her parents paid her no mind. Soon Sha'li was named as the heir to lead the family. Aluara was shocked. Sha'li knew nothing of the family ways or how the "business" was run. Aluara did though. Over the years she learned the inner workings of the family business. She believed that she could run the business better than Sha'li. She still longed for her parents love but never got it. Or would she, ever again. Her father had a gambling problem. He tended to gamble things without any thought. This lead to trouble as he had a bet with Rivian, on of the more influential black market dealers in the sector. It involved the hyper ship races around the cluster. At'elo lost a fortune do to Rivian's interference on the track. At'elo owed Rivian. But Rivian was not without mercy. He told At'elo that he would forget all the money for one of his beautiful daughters. He thought about it. The thought of losing Venra, Sha'li or Yi'la made him sick...but then he remembered, Aluara. He agreed to the deal and returned home. He greeted his daughters except Aluara who was no where to be seen. He searched the house and found her in the library. He smiled at her and it sent shills down Aluara's spine. He spoke to her telling her he had a special task for her to do for him. She listenned to him. He walked over behind her and looked over her shoulder at what she was reading. She asked what it was and immediatly he slammed her head into the table knocking her out cold. She awoke to a dark cell. She was frightenned. She went to move but was suddenly ill. She stopped and sat there letting the feeling subside. She felt something around her neck. She reached up slowly and fellt a metal object....she tensed as she felt the loop in the front of it. A slave colar!! She felt tears swell up inside her. She knew what her father had done. He sold me!! She was a slave.. she knew the term well. Her family business delved into it as well. She was soon dragged out of her cell by a goon. He dragged her out into a throne room of sorts in front of a man dressed in partial armor and regal attire. She knew him at the first glance, Rivian. He looked at her and licked his lips. He mumbled something to an anthro next to him. The anthro motioned for her to come with him and she was dragged to another room where servants stripped her and started to put a revealing outfit on her. She cried as they dressed her. She became the entertainment for Rivian and his geusts. She was there for four years. Over those years she started to shutdown emotionally. She was a plaything for guests. She was used repeatedly. One day she just shutdown completly. She was beaten for not obeying and tossed back into a pile of pillows where she resided most of the day and night. A bounty hunter who was talking to Rivian saw this and intervined. He broke the mans arm and tossed him to the side. This upset Rivian and a firefight soon ensued. Aluara tried to hide but her chains kept her in the open. She was struck by a blaster bolt to her stomach and fell over and everything went black. She awoke in a stasis tank a few days later. The bounty hunter had freed her and a few others on his way out. She awoke and felt something she never thought she would ever feel. She was free. And she had a debt to pay back. As she left the doctor handed her a datapad with an account and some credits. This would do for now, but she could get more. After all she did know how the family business was run....
Aluara's Homecomming
Why did he do it? Why me? What was it he hated so much about me?I know what it was. She sat back in her seat. The terminal infront of her glowing with life. It scrolled information across its screen and Aluara was reading it intently. I know what is was. I wasnt like my sisters. Not special. I had no talent to show them. She continued to scroll through the information. After she read what she wanted she stood up and walked to the shower. She turned it on and stood there leting the water run over her as she reflected the past two years of her life. She had started by doing simple escorts. After a few firefights she realized she had a talent and had been given a gift from Rivian. She was a natural with weapons and combat. But in order to kill efficiently you had to be cold hearted. Her emotions were shutdown, all but one. Her hatred for her father and mother. She knew they were both to blame. No special talent Father? You should see me now. I would make the family proud. She finished her shower and stepped out drying herself off. She entered her dimly lit room and dressed herself. She smiled as she dressed. In a way the family has taken care of me. The family has funded my training and weaponry. She wrapped her skirt around her and fastenned it with a belt. The skirt was made from a leathery material and had a slit on the left side as to allow alot more movement. What most people didnt know was that the inside of the skirt had an underlay of armor. She slipped on her vest and zipped it up 3/4 of the way up. Her vest was made the same way as her skirt. Her arms where still exsposed though. She slipped on her boots and buckled them up. The finishing touches were her fingerless gloves and make-up. She always wore black make-up. It became a trademark of hers. She adjusted her outfit then headed out the door. Soon Father. We will see each other again, very soon. As she walked out she tosses a small cylinder into the room and walked down the hallway. She arrived at the garage area and found her fighter. She started it up, set it into land mode and took off down the way. As she left the window to her room errupted into flames.
She arrived at the gates marking the entrance to her so called families estate. She dismounted her fighter and opened up one of the compartments on it. She pulled out her holster with her weapons in it. Two old style slug throwers were nestled in the holsters at her sides. She pulled out another belt with cryo grenades on it. She walked up to the gate where the guard was. He was watching her. She could tell he was staring. She smiled as she approached. He continued to stare at her eyeing her weapons. "Im sorry but if you dont have business here Im going to have to ask you to leave." He said still eyeing her. She continued to walk up to him still smiling. He seemed a little startled at no response so he repeated his last statement. As he was repeating it, he was within arms reach. Her hand flashed and in a blurr it had hit the man in his throat. He gasped for air as a startled exspression spread accross his face. She wheeled around planting the side of her foot into his face knocking him down and out. She looked down at him. "No offense handsome." She gracefully climbed and vaulted over the gate. She walked towards the main entrance. The main hall. They could never make up there mind what to do with it. Well after tonight they wont have to anymore. As she approached the door two more guards stood there. They looked at her in shock then went to draw there weapons. She acted quickly, she rushed the left guard grabbing his arm with the gun in it and turned him towards the other guard and squeezed his trigger finger. The scatter blast ripped into the other guard. Freck! Now the other guards will know somethings up. Well so much for being smooth. The discharge of the pistol rang through the night air. She whirled the guard around wrapping him with his own arm and squeezed his trigger finger again. The weapon fired and the guard fell limp. She took the scatter gun from the guard and policed for cells. She heard the noises of guards in the house and outside. Here is where it gets fun. I just hope what I learned is enough....no I cant think like that. I WILL see my father and he will pay. She pulled out a cryo grenade and placed it in the door handles. She ran down the stair away from the door as the guards openned it and the grenade went off. The immediate area was covered in ice. The guards shocked and helpless. She couldnt help but smirk but was cut short by a blaster bolt whizzing by her head. Too Close! Stay focused Aluara. She rolled and fired the scatter in the area of the other guards. Two fell from hits while the others dove away from the scatter blast. She ran towards the entance. The cryo was wearing off. She couldnt hesitate. She aimed and fired. Scatter bolts ripped into the entrance of the house and inside as well. The guards helpless to the onslaught of the weapon. She ran into the house and right into the fist of a guard. Stupid! She wheeled backwards and juked to the left to avoid being hit again. She then remembered why she wasnt blasted. Mother made it clear that no weapons are in the house. These men are unarmed. She evaded another attack and countered with one of her own. She felt like she was dancing again. All the moving. It was becomming a blurr to her, yet she still saw the attacks comming and evaded them. Another blow hit her from behind forcing her forward to another guy. She swung her leg up and kicked the one in front of her and pushed off of him into the one behind her. She landed an elbow to his chest knocking him down. More men seemed to come as she fought. I cant keep this up forever. I need to think of something fast. Just then pain shot through her body. She had just been hit by a electrified baton. She screamed and wheeled around grabbing the guys hand and used him as a door maker. She threw him into the others knocking them down and clearing a path. She fought her way to the stairs as a shot rang through the air. Everyone stopped. Aluara felt a hint of pain in her side. She looked down. Something had gone through her armor. She winced as she moved a bit. A slug. Right though my blaster protection. So much for energy shielding heh.
Slow steady clapping could be heard. "Well done. I must say I am impressed with how far you made it." I know that voice anywhere. You monster. She looked up slightly. There he was. Her father with a smug look on his face. "Well its been sometime since my men have had this much of a workout and me being the business man that I am. I have an offer for you miss. Work for me. I could use someone of your calibur. You could go far." The anger was growing inside her. She felt like she could explode. "What do you say huh? We could get you all patched up and let all this be in the past." He motioned around at the damaged room. She lowered her head. "Id much rather see you dead." Her words echoed around the hall. He looked taken aback. "So your an assassin?" He laughed. "So who hired you assassin?" She looked up at him. "No one sent me. I come here of my own accord Father." The smile faded from his face as he started to look like someone just walked over his grave. "You cant be real. You should be dead or at least away from here." He backed up the second flight of stairs. Still dont have a clear shot. "Well im home now father. And plan to return the favor." He took another set of steps back. "Well dont just stand there. Detain her!" He yelled at the men. They went towards her. She immediatly rolled into them and sprinted for cover pulling out side arms. Shots from his gun rang out in the hall as he shot at her hitting some of his own men in the process. Once behind cover she pulled another cryo and through it at the chandelier. It hit the chandelier errupting it into a icicle display. She shot towards the anchor in the roof and hit it causing it to fall.
The room became dark, except for the few shots her father would shoot in random directions. She felt the blood flowing from her side. Not too good here Aluara. Need to get something on this fast or else you'll be dead. She looked around, her eyes adjusted to the darkness, and found a guard and tore a piece of his jacket and wrapped it around her waist covering the wound. This will do until I can get to a doctor to have this taken out. She looked out from her spot and noticed a few guards searching for her. She looked to the top of the stairs and her father wasnt in site. YOU COWARD!! The anger started to rise in her again. She peeked out let off four shots and ducked back down. She heard guards shout out and fall. The others went to there comrades. She looked over again. The stairs were clear. Perfect. She jumped over wincing from the pain and bolted to the stairs. One of the men saw her and went to yell something but was silenced by a shot to his throat. She darted up the stairs and spun around firing a few more shots at the men who saw her as well and gave chase. She turned back around and headed towards the office.
I know your in there father. Its where you feel the safest. She made it to the office door and kicked it open. Another shot rang out she felt the wind get knocked out of her. Look at me. So blinded by hatred. I'm making amature mistakes. She stumbled back into the wall accross the way and slid down to the floor. Her head slumped over, her hands going limp. He stood up from his hiding spot and chuckled to himself. "Well my daughter, you still werent good enough for the family it seems." He kneeled down infront of her. "Pity really. We could have used your talents. Oh we...ugh.." He was cut short to a barrel being shoved into his throat. She lifted her head. "Why father, what an awful thing to say." She smiled weakly at him, "Im taking over the family." His eyes grew wide "Goodnight father." She squeezed the trigger and her father flew backwards to the floor. She heard footsteps and looked to see her mother in the office as well. Her mother had a petrified look on her face. She watched her mother reach for the gun and pick it up. Aluara continued to lean against the wall. That last shot took my last bit of strength. Her eyes partially open, trying to stay awake. "Y-y-y-your no child of mine. Your a monster!" Her mother said as she raised the gun. Her finger didnt even make it to the trigger as another shot rang out but from down the hall. Her mother fell to the ground. A familiar figure came walking towards her. It kneeled down and scooped her up. She couldnt keep her eyes open anymore and closed them. A voice spoke softly to her, "Rest now princess. Your war is over." She recognized the large man's voice and she spoke weakly, "Big guy?" He readjusted his arms "Yes princess. Shh rest now. We have to get you taken care of." What wonderful timing. I thought I was dead for sure. She smiled inward to herself. Now the business is mine. Ill have to deal with my sisters later after I have healed though. The large man carried her to the medical bay where she was to be treated for her wounds...
Leaving one family for another..
After Aluara was patched up she aproached her sisters. Them of course heaing of their sisters exploits were terrified of her. Aluara stated that the house was hers ands hers alone. Her sisters were just pawns in it. If they embraced her as a sister then she might see fit to promote them further but for now they were trash to her. After she re-established her family in the markets she aproached the large man who had been with her throughout her whole endevour.
"Kurin the family is under your guide until I return." He stared at her and opened his mouth to speak but she stopped him with a touch of her fingertips, "I will not have you argue this matter Kurin. I leave the house in good hands." She sighed and smiled, "I have to leave for a bit. I need to go out and get away from this house. Too many painfull memories my dear friend." She said as she kissed his cheek and left the room. Kurin stood there and frowned, "As the princess wishes.." He said as he turned around and looked out the window, watching her leave. "I hope your trust is well placed my princess.."
She entered the ship and sat down casting one last glance at the house. Her eyes catching her large friend at the window. She smiled knowing he would miss her and waved slightly. She set her rifle down next to her and looked over the acceptance form. At the top it read Chios Military Corps. She stared at it a moment and placed in her bag ontop of the other letter stating an interest in her abilities from Chios. She leaned her head back against the chair and waited as the ship took her off to join her new family... the CMC.

She leaned her head back against the chair and waited as the ship took her off to join her new family... the CMC.
